Abstract

Carl Jung was born in Switzerland on 22 July 1875. He continued working with Sigmund Freud, the pioneer of Psychoanalysis, for a long time, but gradually he developed disagreement with him regarding his Psychoanalysis; instead he initiated Analytical Psychology. According to Jung, human psychology consists of Conscious Mind, Personal Unconscious and Collective Unconscious. The fiction writer Qurat-ul-Ain Haider, born in 1927 Ali Garh India, has taken help from Jung's Analytical Psychology in her novel 'Aag ka Darya' (The River of Fire). Using Jung's Analytical Psychology, she has presented her story and characters in a new technical style. Her this attempt has proven to be the start of new trends in Urdu literature.
